Welcome to Hughes Holidays. This is our first year to attempt to do any of this so
let me take a minute to explain what happened and how we got here! Last year we found out about a group called Trans Siberian Orchestra. Shoot, they played rocked up Christmas music, we liked them!! We went to one of their concerts and WOW what a light show!! We were very impressed! Time passed and I knew Christmas was coming along with putting up the lights and planning the holidays with family coming and going but wasn't too worried about anything. I was set to put up my blue Christmas lights on the roof like last year and heck, I was thinking about even putting some inflatables in the yard this year. Sometime around August, my wife made one simple little small mistake that she will probably be paying for several years.....She saw a video and sent me an email of a house with all the lights flashing to one of TSO's songs and, well you know what happened from there! I started scouring the internet for any information on how to do this. I found all kinds of information of different ways to do just about anything you want to do with lights. I chose to use Light O Rama to make everything flash according to how the computer tells them to once I have programmed it and the rest is history. !!!2009 UPDATE!!! Videos are now being uploaded now that the display is complete. I will be changing stuff periodically now that I have a chance to actually sit down and program the lights!! !!ALSO be careful what you pray for...God is listening and you might just get what you wish for!! So I guess the moral of the day is one we all have heard in this day and time. Be careful of what your emails contain! You never know what they may cause to happen!! |
